This iconic example of mid-century modern design was originally built in 1985 by the current owner's family and was the first home built in this phase. The 20,908 square foot lot was certainly the owner's first choice of the 66 lots in this phase for their appreciate of its location overlooking the 4th fairway of the Club's Desert Course. The residence was reinvented by the owner in 2016 who worked with Palm Springs architect Chris Sahlin to increase its square footage to approximately 6,955 and to modernize the home in complement with its initial floor plan. Top of owner's list was to create an open and expansive new kitchen with spacious relaxed family room and casual dining on the view. The landscape architects at RGA Landscape Design created a draught-friendly landscape plan with the owner's decision to eliminate the pool and spa. Interiors were thoughtfully curated by longtime family friend and Chicago based designer, John Harrison. An added benefit was the installation of a solar panel system to help mitigate the rising cost associated with the home's open design and its additional square footage.
